Enhanced Redundancy Platform

As the number and type of remote users expands, the availability of the remote access service itself becomes more critical. The traditional approach of most vendors to this dilemma to to sell organizations two appliances. For organizations that have the true requirements, infrastructure and support organizations to need a high availability configuration, AccessAnywhere offers its High Availability option.

However, for many companies they cannot justify the cost of a fully redundant highly available configuration. By mitigating the risk associated with the most common hardware failures, AccessAnywhere customers can be assured of maximum service availability, without having to purchase two appliances.

The AccessAnywhere Enhanced Redundancy Platform, provides two hot swappable disk drives, two hot swappable power supplies, two CPU's, twice the memory, and four network interfaces; all in a single chassis.

Most importantly, this is not a hot standby type configuration, rather all components are active during normal system operations, sharing the requisite duties. In the case of a failure in one of these components the system will either continue to run in a non-redundant capacity, as with a disk, power supply or network interface failure, or will allow for system reconfiguration if memory or CPU errors occur.

The Enhanced Redundancy Platform option can be added to either a single AccessAnywhere appliance, a High Availability configuration or an Enhanced Security Architecture configuration.
